Finnair strengthens its network in the Nordics for summer 2026: new route to Alta and increased frequencies to popular destinations

代理店ニュース

We are strengthening our network in the Nordics, adding flights to popular Nordic cities and opening a new route to Alta in Northern Norway. Finnair will fly to Alta via Kittilä five times a week from 29 March to 22 October 2026. The flight will be operated with a 68-seat ATR aircraft.

Known for its arctic nature, versatile outdoor activities and northern lights, Alta has also grown in popularity as a cruise ship destination in recent years.

In addition to Alta, we will fly to the Norwegian coastal city of Tromsø five times a week from Helsinki via Rovaniemi in summer of 2026. Until now, the tag flight, operated with an ATR aircraft, has only been operated in the winter. We will also add flights from Ivalo to Kirkenes to five weekly frequencies in summer 2026, two frequencies more than this summer.

We will also add frequencies to Nordic capitals for the summer of 2026. Stockholm and Copenhagen will get seven, and Reykjavik two additional weekly frequencies.

During the busiest summer holiday season from June to early August, we will fly to Billund, Visby and Bodø*, and add also two weekly frequencies to Mariehamn in the Åland island. It will also be easier than ever to enjoy the spring skiing season in Lapland, as the weekly frequencies to Ivalo and Kittilä will be increased for April 2026.**

Flights are now bookable and detailed schedules can be found in GDS/NDC and on Finnair.com.

*Between 8.6.-9.8.2026: Billund 8 weekly flights; Visby 7 weekly flights; Bodø 6 weekly flights

**Between 30.3.-26.4.2026: Ivalo 17 weekly flights; Kittilä 23 weekly flights; 27.4.-3.5.2026: Ivalo 13 weekly flights; Kittilä 19 weekly flights
