Segments getting autocancelled - issue solved

UPDATE

01DEC22: We are investigating further reports of segments having been autocancelled too early (ticketing time limit was 01DEC but autocancel happened already the night between 30NOV-01DEC). In such cases, please follow the below instructions. This news will be updated once the issue has been fixed.
09DEC22: Issue has been solved, no further actions are needed from travel agents.

The issue with Finnair segments getting autocancelled today (Monday 28NOV) has been solved; we truly apologize for the error which occurred at our end. The autocancellation seems to have impacted segments which were to be ticketed within the next 72 hours.

If you are holding bookings which have autocancelled AY segments, please rebook them now and proceed to issue the ticket (or in case flight change, revalidate the ticket). 

  • Check your office queues for any messages concerning autocancelled segments (OPC).
    • It is especially important to check the queues for your possible online booking tool offices.
  • Reinstate the autocancelled segment in the original booking class

Please note! No waiver code or any special authorization is needed if you are able to reinstate the autocancelled segment in the original booking class.
