London Heathrow capacity restrictions during summer 2022

Published Updated

Due to restrictions set by Heathrow Airport, we are unfortunately forced to reduce our capacity on flights between Helsinki and London. The capacity cuts will be made by cancelling some of our customers’ bookings on certain dates as well as limiting the number of new bookings.

  1. We have had to cancel some customers’ bookings on London-Helsinki flights between 20th of July and 24th of July to meet the requirements from Heathrow Airport officials set to all airlines operating out of Heathrow. All those customers whose booking was cancelled have been notified directly by SMS/email.

  2. As the Heathrow Airport capacity issues continue throughout the summer, we have therefore limited seat capacity on London-Helsinki route until the 29 October 2022. However, please note that if a customer is holding a valid booking and a ticket which has been issued already before, those will remain valid, and we plan to operate all flights between London and Helsinki even though new reservations cannot be made at this time.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience and harm this situation causes our customers. As these restrictions set by Heathrow Airport apply to other airlines as well, rerouting to other airlines is not allowed. See the guidelines for changes and refunds below.

Changes: Rebooking allowed to a later date until 30 September 2022; rebook on same route, rebook to original booking class or lowest available in same cabin, rerouting to other airlines is not allowed.

Exception: only by customer request, you are allowed to rebook LHR-HEL to MAN-HEL if there are seats available. Please note that ground transportation within UK to Manchester is not covered by AY.

Refunds: Process refund directly in your own GDS or if that is not possible, process refund via BSPLink/ARC. No additional waiver code needed, the SSR INVOL permits a full refund which can be made directly in your own GDS or BSPLink/ARC.
