Important news about group bookings

GDS EDIFACT surcharge for series and interline bookings (AY tickets) 

Whenever ticketing day is 01MAY 2023 or after, the GDS EDIFACT surcharge (YQ fee 12EUR/direction/pax) will be collected also from series and interline bookings. After this change, the Finnair Group Travel (FGT) online booking tool for groups is the only channel where the YQ fee is avoidable for group bookings. FGT is the primary source for group bookings on Finnair flights.
 

Claiming Amadeus bookings in Finnair Group Travel tool (FGT)

Starting from 20MAR 2023 it has been possible to claim group bookings to Amadeus GDS for ticketing. The decision to claim a group booking must be done before the deposit payment. The actual claim will then be done after all names have been entered in FGT and the bookings are ready for ticketing.

The same GDS EDIFACT cost recovery surcharge will apply for claim as for individual passengers: 12EUR/direction per passenger collected as YQ fee. 

In the first phase the claim is provided only to Amadeus users but later it will be possible to expand also to other GDS users.
