Entry requirements to The USA

The United States is open to foreign nationals who are fully vaccinated. Some requirements apply even for fully vaccinated travellers, including U.S. nationals and residents, who are entering or transiting via the USA (some exemptions apply), e.g: 

• Disclosure and attestation form must be filled before checkin-in to the flight 
• The required travel documents for entry, including a valid ESTA for visa-waiver nationals.
• If the customer has applied for ESTA before the travel ban imposed by the US authorities, the ESTA may have been cancelled. In that case the customer must apply for a new ESTA. 
• When traveling to Los Angeles customers are required to fill out an online health declaration form at https://travel.lacity.org/. This applies to all customers over the age of 16. Other AY destinations in the USA do not require the completion of a health declaration form.

  • The correct and the only allowed form for Finnair flights to the United States is available here. 
  • ANY OTHER attestations are not accepted on Finnair flights to the United States 
• Form must be printed out and filled in before checking-in to the flight
• All non-US citizen travellers over 2 years of age are required to hold a printed and filled out attestation form 

Also completion of the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) is mandatory for passengers travelling under Visa Waiver Programme.
