Changes in Finnair traffic plan 01 April – 30 October 2021 (UPDATED 20JAN)

Due to the coronavirus pandemic and related travel restrictions, Finnair has revised the traffic plan for 01 April – 30 October 2021. Finnair follows the demand and changes in travel restrictions closely and will adjust the traffic plan, accordingly, adding or cancelling flights as needed. Adjustments concern the upcoming traffic plan for 1 April – 30 October from January onwards.

New offered flight will be added to the bookings, other possible alternatives can also be checked in GDS according to given guidelines below. Customer can check the new flight from My Booking.

Customer options shortly:

  1. Rerouting
    AY different route: OK to reroute to another AY operated destination in the same country, or nearby airport in neighboring country (only possible in Europe and within Japan.) Extra ground expenses are not covered by Finnair.
  2. Change of travel date(s)/time
    • ​​​​​​​Allowed to: AY operated flight
    • Allowed date range: Change can be made up to 360 days onwards from the date of changing the ticket first time.
    • AY same destination only
    • In same booking class or lowest available in same cabin
    • OS AY CHANGE OF TRAVEL DUE TO COVID19 must be added to all cancelled bookings
  3. Refund
    • Full: Allowed for unused ticket
    • Part: Allowed for unused part
    • Full EMD: Allowed for unused ancillaries
    • Part EMD: Allowed for unused part of ancillaries
    • OS AY REFUND DUE TO COVID19 must be added to all cancelled bookings

Refunds can be processed directly in GDS or via refund application in BSP link.
