Flex fare refunds to be enabled when combined with Light and Classic fares

Following the extension of the availability of all our three fare brands Flex, Classic and Light to all booking classes last June, we are making a further improvement to the Flex ticket type.

As of 10th November, customers who purchase Flex fare can get a refund from the Flex part of the ticket, also when Flex fare is combined with Light or Classic fare. Until now, the strictest refund rule has been applied when customers combine different ticket types, for example Light for outbound and Flex for inbound. 
The change applies to all sales channels. 

This change improves customer experience and fulfils the promise that Flex ticket type is truly flexible when it comes to changes and refunds in all situations.

Please notice the following when combining Finnair fares with JL on SJB routes and AA on AJB routes:
Both JL and AA are still following the refund rule based full itinerary and applying the restrictive refund rules for whole ticket. In case tickets with combination of AY and JL/AA fares and customer request for refund of whole ticket, the most restrictive refund condition will be applied.
If only AY fare component is cancelled, refund is based on fare component.
