How to connect

Traditionally travel agents access airline content via GDS. In GDS distribution the fares and schedules are matched with airline availability, and the offer is created in the GDS. In NDC distribution the offer is created by the airline. In order to receive NDC offers from airline travel agents can connect to airline in three ways:

  1. directly - by creating an NDC API integration between airline and travel agent which requires the agent to have dedicated IT resources for the integration and maintenance of API.
  2. via an aggregator - in which case NDC API integration is created between the airline and aggregator, and travel agent connects to aggregator via API or using aggregator desktop tool. No specific technical development is required from an agency to access Finnair content via aggregators
  3. by registering to use Finnair Agency Sales Tool – FAST, a free of charge, user friendly web-based application, intended for IATA certified Travel Agents to book and service Finnair NDC Content.

Direct NDC API integration

  • Every new direct NDC API integration to Finnair is evaluated and requires approval from Finnair.
  • Approved integrations will receive a possible timeslot for integration.
  1. Contact your account manager or Finnair NDC team to initiate evaluation process.
  2. Get approval & implementation slot for integration project.
  3. Sign NDA & NDC API agreement.
  4. Get access to AY NDC documentation & test environment

Connect via aggregator

Please see the list of Finnair approved NDC aggregators and their contacts below. Aggregator´s capabilities can be found here.

In case your preferred aggregator is not listed, please contact Finnair NDC team at ndc@finnair.com to discuss options.

Get started:

  1. Register as Finnair NDC seller here.
  2. Finnair team will confirm your registration.
  3. Implement connection with an approved Finnair NDC aggregator.

Use FAST 

Finnair Agency Sales Tool – FAST is an IATA NDC aligned tool. The innovative tool allows our distribution partners to directly connect to Finnair’s host reservation system, providing access to availability, pricing, shopping, and ticketing and facilitating ancillary sales and servicing. Finnair Agency Sales Tool FAST is built on IATA NDC 18.1 standard and developed and managed by TPConnects – our IT Provider.
