Finnair continues to offer Tour Operator fares on intra-European and domestic Finland routes

Operational news

As we have earlier informed, we have made some changes to our fare structure as of 12 January 2021. With the change we moved from a return fare pricing structure to a more straightforward one-way pricing model. This has meant reshaping the pricing approach.

Finnair’s approach aims simplicity and transparency as well as easy use of our different fare products. The changes in the fare structure are part of a bigger entity, in which we observe our fare products on regular basis, taking into account the changing market situation and operational environment.

The current operational environment is very challenging for the entire Finnish tourism industry. We have had a constructive discussion with industry operators and have become aware of the need to continue Tour Operator (TO) fares also on domestic Finland and intra-European routes. Contrary to what we announced on 19 January 2021, Finnair will continue to offer TO fares in Finland on domestic and intra-European routes.

The TO fares sold in Finland have a longer and more flexible ticketing schedule compared to the published fares. Updated fares and rules can be found in the GDS’s and are available for immediate sale.
