Updated regulation at SIN airport as of 14Nov for all pax carrying Duty Free liquids, aerosols and gels

As per the European Union (EU) One-Stop Security (OSS) arrangements, with effect from 14Nov22 passengers transiting through Singapore Changi Airport are advised not to purchase Liquids, Aerosols and Gels (LGAs) up-station; the security officer at pre-board screening will identify non-Changi Security Tamper Evident Bags (STEBs) and pass it to the representative who either tags or disposes the non-Changi STEBs.

Security Tamper Evident Bags (STEBs) are being used in Duty Free shop to seal Liquids Aerosols and Gels that passengers buy.

This new regulation means that when transiting through Singapore, passengers from up station are not allowed to hand carry Security Tamper Evident Bags purchased in an overseas duty free or onboard. Passengers can still purchase duty free LAGs at Singapore Changi Airport.

For example: If a passenger departs from Helsinki, buys duty-free liquids at HEL, transits in SIN to Australia, the purchased duty-free liquids will be taken away at SIN security screening.
