Impact of the situation in Ukraine on our flights

Hotspot
Published Updated

Due to the current uncertain situation in Ukraine, we will not be using the Ukrainian airspace until further notice as of 23 February 2022. The changes in flight routes affect our flights to/from Dubai, Gazipasa and Tel Aviv causing them 5-15 minutes longer flight time. Finnair doesn’t have flights to Ukraine in its traffic plan.

Safety is always our first priority. We are following the situation closely and will update any new information on this page. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and will do our best to minimise the effects to you and your customers.

If customers flight would be affected, we will contact them directly via SMS and/or email and PNRs will also be updated. Please make sure that customers’ contact information on bookings are up to date.

If passenger misses their connecting flight due to a delayed first flight, we’ll re-route them to their destination. As availability of alternative flights is limited, re-routing may take time. Thank you for your patience. New flight information will be updated to PNR and our agent help desk is also there to support you. As the schedule changes are minor, ticketed fare rules apply for the flights being operated and not affecting to connecting flight.

Exceptional policy published 25 February for our flights to/from LED and SVO:

  • refunds as well as changes of bookings with waived fare difference allowed if customers would contact and ask for it
  • scope: until further notice and for all departures
