Exceptional “Book with confidence” change policy ended 31May
As the coronavirus pandemic has moved to a new phase with a high vaccination coverage and travel restrictions being removed across countries, we are now moving towards a more normal world and ending our exceptional “Book with confidence” change policy we have offered to booking changes during the pandemic.
The flexible change policy is still valid for all new tickets issued until the end of May:
- when a ticket has been purchased latest on the 31st of May 2022, travel dates can still be changed until 31st of May 2022 as many times as needed within ticket validity.
- The flexible “Book with confidence” change policy still grants one more change after 1st of June but after that change, all non-flexible ticket types/fares (such as Light ticket type) will follow respective ticket type’s fare rules.
- Follow the instructions on our COVID-19 page on Finnair Easy when making the changes.
For tickets issued from the 1st of June onwards, our normal fare rules apply. The updated fare rules will be visible in GDS 1st June.
When customers want flexibility for reservation changes, we recommend our Flex or Classic ticket types; the Flex ticket is the most flexible one as it is fully refundable and allows travel date changes. Our Classic ticket type includes the option to change travel dates but is non-refundable. You can read more about our ticket types and their benefits on Ticket Types page in Easy.
