Enhanced control in Ancillary Services payment limits as of 1st September (updated 23Aug)

When booking chargeable seats and meals, there are automatic timelines applied in the reservation for when the EMD needs to be issued in all booking channels. This functionality will now be extended also to other types of ancillary services like baggage, onboard wifi and lounge access at Helsinki airport. Out of scope from the timelines will still be those services that require a longer handling time and where the payment can be delayed, like pets and special baggage (SSRs: AOXY, PETC, AVIH, UMNR, BIKE, WEAP).

With this change we are enhancing customer experience. Thanks to a clean-up of unpaid ancillary services beforehand, customer will no longer be forced to go to the check-in desk at the airport but will be able to use the mobile and web check-in channels instead.

The functionality extension will take place on 1st September.
