Changes possible in Finnair flights during December 2021 and January 2022

The omicron variant as well as the normal flu season are causing increased sickness absences in Finnair and in the teams of our partners.  

The same situation applies to other airlines and airports globally. Also, the winter conditions and their impact on operations challenge Finnair on certain days. Due to this, changes in Finnair traffic are possible during December 2021 and January 2022.

Exceptional policy:  

In case customers journey requires a coronavirus pre-test, it is recommended to take it as close to the departure as possible. If nevertheless the pre-test becomes invalid due to a flight cancellation or delay, until 23 January, customers may change travel dates without a change fee, even if departure is less than 48 hours away. The possibility for a refund goes according to the ticket rules.
