Changes in special meals SPML and HNML

News

Finnair SPML (Special meal) available in Business Class will change to a standard 7 allergen-free meal from 24 January 2024. The SPML meal is free from 7 usual allergens - gluten, nuts, peanuts, eggs, milk, fish and crustaceans. Meals are designed beforehand and will not contain any of the allergens mentioned above. Only these 7 allergens are excluded, and other allergens may be present in the meal. No other combinations or variations are available for SPML option.

Please note that even if the meal is nut and peanut-free, we still cannot offer a nut-free environment.

At the same time, HNML (Hindu meal) will change to a non-vegetarian meal prepared according to the requirements of the Hindu religion. This meal is non-vegetarian, and it is prepared and spiced in Indian style. It may contain lamb, chicken, fish, eggs, milk, and dairy products. It does not contain beef, veal, beef sauces or beef extracts. If your customer prefers a vegetarian Hindu meal option, please choose AVML (Asian Vegetarian Meal).
