Changes in Finnair traffic plan for summer 2024

Finnair has made updates to its traffic program for summer 2024. 

The most significant changes are: 

  • Nagoya route re-starts as of 30 May 2024 (until the end of summer season) 

  • Seattle route resumes as of 01 June 2024 (until the end of summer season) 

  • Tel Aviv route is discontinued for the time being. The situation will be followed closely. 

  • Finnair is adding 1 weekly frequency to Shanghai between 31 March and 01 June 2024 

  • Finnair is adding 2 weekly frequencies to Dallas for the whole summer season 

  • Munich flights will be operated with Finnair’s widebody A350 aircraft three times a week 

Please note, that approximately 60% of Finnair’s Short-haul routes will face a minor 5-10 min schedule change. Turnaround time will be adjusted to 45 minutes in several outstations before summer season 2024. 

All the schedule changes and cancellations are expected to be processed and customers notified on the 29 November 2023. After a PNR is processed, you will be able to see the suggested alternative flight for the affected passenger(s). 

Finnair has proposed a new connection to the customer and automatically updated the ticket.  

In case the new schedule is not suitable for the customer, the SSR OTHS INVOL element in the booking permits one further free involuntary change and/or cancellation as per the guidelines below.

Summer 2024 (31MAR – 29OCT24)

Ticketed booking only 

  • For unticketed bookings: no reaccommodation is given; please book new flight(s) and reprice with a new fare, new fare's fare rules apply.
