Are all the ticket type fare brands available in all the booking classes?

The chart below illustrates which ticket types are available in which booking classes on Finnair’s flights (excludes flights to/from North America and Japan).

When booking a Premium Economy fare, the booking class for Finnair operated connecting flights within Europe is always Y. If you are combining other airlines into the itinerary, you can check the booking classes from the booking code display, e.g., in Amadeus with an FQS command after FQD fare display or after an informative pricing (FQP).

What is the new Economy Superlight ticket type?

Our new Economy Superlight ticket is ideal for travelling within Europe with minimal baggage. With the Superlight ticket, you can only take one small bag that fits under the seat, and the travel time cannot be changed after booking and tickets cannot be refunded. A carry-on bag, checked baggage and other travel extras can be purchased to further tailor the booking.

How do I find the ticket types in the reservation system?

The fare family names and codes to be used in pricing entries (e.g. in fare display, FQD.../AAY/FF) are BFLEX, BCLASIC and BLIGHT for the business class fares, PEFLEX, PECLASIC and PELIGHT for premium economy fares and EFLEX, ECLASIC, ELIGHT and ESLIGHT for the economy class fares.
