Self-service check-in

Customers can easily check in for their flight online on their computer or mobile device and avoid the queues at the airport. We recommend to complete self-service check-in whenever possible in order to reduce the time spent at the airport. 

In case customer checked in in advance and they already have their boarding pass, they can go directly to the bag drop or to their boarding gate via security. Bag tag must be printed at the check-in kiosk before dropping their baggage at the self-service counter.

How to check-in online?

The online check-in tool  will guide the customer to complete their check-in and give all the information they need regarding what to do after check-in and which documents they need at the airport.

Online check-in opens 36 hours before departure (24 hours for flights to/from the United States) and the service is available 24 hours a day, regardless of the customer’s location. 

Check-in with the Finnair app

With the Finnair app, the customer can easily check-in online and see their trip details, boarding passes and gate numbers. The app is available for both iOS and Android.

The app contains helpful information for all stages of the journey, from preparing for a flight to landing at the destination. It helps the customer to keep track of all their travel documents and upcoming trips. Additionally, the Finnair app allows the customer to conveniently book travel extras for their journey and access their Finnair Plus card.
