There are some matters that need to be considered in advance when travelling while pregnant.
If the flight duration is more than 6 hours, customer needs to provide us with a doctor’s certificate after her 32nd week of pregnancy. The certificate must be sent by submitting the Special assistance form.
In other cases, we recommend a pregnant customer to carry a letter or statement from her attending physician or midwife as proof that her pregnancy is progressing normally.
In case of complicated pregnancy a MEDIF form needs to be completed.
We advise travel agents to share detailed information and limitations available on Finnair.com with the passenger travelling while pregnant.
