Cabin Baggage for Passenger (CBBG)

You may book additional cabin baggage when a passenger is requesting an instrument or other special item to be transported in the cabin. Cabin baggage (CBBG) is bookable when reservation includes AY flights both operated and marketed by AY.

The passenger and the additional seat will be issued on one ticket.

The same airfare will be charged for the additional seat as for the passenger. Only published fares without discount may be applied. YR surcharge need to be collected on CBBG ticket when applicable. For Finnish domestic fares the value-added tax (VAT) must be collected. Other taxes may be ignored.

Baggage allowance follows the chosen ticket type and passenger travelling with a CBBG is allowed 1 extra piece of baggage on AY flights. This extra piece is added for passenger already when issuing the ticket (e.g. 1PC -> 2PC). Note! For Light/Superlight fare tickets, the baggage allowance remains 0PC. No extra carry-on baggage allowed for CBBG-reservations.

The dimensions and weight of the instrument or item must be obtained before making the reservation and added to the reservation at the same time with SSR-request.

The advance seat selection is free of charge if there is confirmed SSR CBBG in the reservation.

For the time being, CBBG can be added to the booking only by Finnair, please contact Agent Help Desk for further assistance. Please note that payment will be done using the payment link.

Before departure to a round-trip/oneway journey: Only one ticket will be issued. The same airfare will be charged for the additional seat as for the passenger. Other taxes may be ignored.
